This Valentine’s Day, CEHS hosted a civil engineering love poem competition. We split into teams and our two new pledges were designated to read their team’s poem. The contest was too close to call and Dr. Krstic decided on a tie! Check out some videos and pictures of their performances below:
THE POEM WITH NO NAME
By Team Nick
L is for the live load that you put on my heart
O is for the only major that I love, its art
V is the shear love, so pure
E is for even more work than you can endure
ODE TO THE LABORATORY
By Team Jack
Laboratory, Laboratory, Laboratory (pause)
Wherefore art thou, my Laboratory?
Although it only took me 25 blows, according to the Modified Proctor test
to win your hart,
I promise to never call you dirt (pause dramatically)
You’ll always be soil to me,
As long as we never part.
Oh, Soil, Soil, Soil,
For you, my love will never spoil!
