Kaz Tabrizi, PhD, PE

Kaz Tabrizi began his journey in engineering by earning his BS and MS degrees from The State University of New York at Buffalo, specializing in geotechnical engineering. He continued his education by obtaining a PhD at Rutgers University. In 1984, Dr. Tabrizi started in industry in the Geotechnical Engineering division of NJDOT. He then assumed a managerial role at SWK in Princeton, NJ. In 2000, he used the managerial skills he obtained at SWK to co-found Advanced Infrastructure Design, Inc. (AID), where he presently serves as the Executive Vice President. Dr. Tabrizi oversees the day-to-day operations of AID, nurturing client relationships as well as fostering the company’s growth.

Dr. Tabrizi exemplifies an unwavering passion for staying at the forefront of state-of-the-art technologies. At AID, he has spearheaded the integration of cutting-edge mobile and non-destructive testing technology. His approach has positioned AID as a nationally recognized authority in many disciplines, such as pavement engineering and management, forensics, and infrastructure assessment. Dr. Tabrizi’s commitment to innovation continues to drive AID’s success.
As a licensed professional engineer in both New Jersey and Pennsylvania with an extensive career in geotechnical engineering, and as an active participant in organizations like ASCE and ASHE, Dr. Tabrizi personifies the Chi Epsilon Pillars of Scholarship, Character, Practicality, and Sociability.
