Nick is spending an exciting summer at the FHWA Turner Fairbank Research Center as Geotechnical Research Intern in the STIPDG (Summer Transportation Internship Program for Diverse Groups) program. He is involved in research on geosynthetic textiles and roadway subbase properties. Besides day-to-day work at the office, the program provides field trips to different museums of transportation systems (marine, air, rail) and exclusive tours through DOTHQ and The Pentagon. Nick will complete his internship by writing a research paper.
